Estimating the prevalence of dementia in Europe

The report presents the findings of Alzheimer Europes collaborative analysis of recent prevalence studies and sets out updated prevalence rates for dementia in Europe. Given that the number of people living with the condition is set to increase substantially (to double by 2050), greater pressure will be placed on care and support services. The report stresses the need for governments and healthcare systems to be ready and for more investment in research.
