Towards a dementia plan: a WHO guide provides technical guidance to Member States in creating and operationalizing a dementia plan. This might involve developing a new, stand-alone dementia plan, strengthening an existing dementia plan, or integrating dementia into existing dementia-related plans. The guide organizes the process of creating a dementia plan into three phases: preparing, developing and implementing the plan. The first phase focuses on the steps involved in gathering evidence and setting priorities. The second phase guides countries in creating a strategic framework, assessing resource needs and obtaining political and stakeholder approval. Finally, the third phase outlines the steps involved in implementing and evaluating the dementia plan.
